Inventory management

• Add items manually with a name, purchase date, price, and room assignment.
• Batch entry — walk through a room and log everything in one session. Auto-saves as you type.
• Fuzzy date parsing: type “March 2024” or just “2024” and BeyondShoebox figures it out.
• Fuzzy price parsing: handles currency symbols, European decimal formats, and “about $200” approximations.
• Room auto-suggestion: typing “dishwasher” suggests Kitchen automatically.
• Soft-delete with a 5-second undo snackbar — no accidental permanent deletions.
• Inline item editing with auto-save on blur.

Dashboard

• Room-based dashboard showing item count, total value, and oldest item per room.
• Age display on every item: “Purchased 3 years, 2 months ago” — no more guessing.
• Responsive grid: 1 column on mobile, 2 on tablet, 3 on desktop.

Email receipt parsing

• Paid accounts get a unique forwarding address. Forward any purchase confirmation to it.
• AI (Google Gemini) extracts item name, purchase date, price, currency, and store name automatically.
• Review parsed items before they’re added: confirm with one tap, edit any field inline, or dismiss.
• Duplicate detection — forwarding the same receipt twice does nothing.
• Dashboard badge shows the number of pending reviews, hidden when the queue is empty.

Push notifications

• Opt-in Web Push notifications when a new receipt is parsed and ready to review.
• Tapping the notification navigates directly to the review queue.
• Subscription state is restored across page reloads — no need to re-enable after each visit.

Account & subscription

• Sign in with Google or Microsoft — no password required.
• Free tier: up to 25 items with manual entry.
• Annual plan ($5/year) and Lifetime plan ($59, one-time): unlimited items plus email receipt parsing.
• Upgrade via Stripe Checkout — no card stored by BeyondShoebox.
• GDPR data export: download everything you’ve stored as a single JSON file.
• Hard-delete account: removes all data immediately and irreversibly.
